Latin commercial, open level | three-session course on Mondays 3.–17.8. at 17:30-18:25

Welcome to an energetic Latin Commercial short course! Latin Commercial is a dance style where choreography blends elements from Latin dances such as salsa, reggaeton, samba, bachata, and cha-cha-cha with the dynamic and expressive feel of commercial dance.

The course is suitable for dancers of different levels. You do not need prior experience in Latin dances to take part.

Class description

Latin Commercial classes are all about bringing the party to the studio! The style combines elements of commercial dance with various Latin dance styles such as reggaeton, samba, bachata, and salsa. Each class includes an effective warm-up, technique exercises that support the choreography, and focused work on the final choreography. The music features the hottest Latin hits from today as well as past decades. Sneakers are recommended for this class.

Open level

Open level classes and courses are open to dancers of different levels. Please note that open level does not mean beginner level. You can join an open level class even if you have no prior experience in that specific dance style, as long as you have some background or experience in another dance style. In open level classes, the teacher takes different skill levels into account by offering variations and options for the movements.

Effiina Campomanes

Effiina Campomanes is the owner of Shenanigans Studio, a versatile and experienced dancer, an award-winning dance video producer, and a determined choreographer and teacher who always encourages dancers to boldly take on new challenges. In her energetic and physical choreographies, she always emphasizes movement versatility, striking visuality, and surprise elements. Graduating as a professional dancer from the Turku Conservatory in 2012, Effiina is a chameleon who challenges and breaks genre boundaries and seamlessly switches roles both in front of and behind the camera.
