Commercial dance, open level | Thursdays 15.1.–7.5. at 17:30–18:25

Welcome to join an open level commercial dance course! The course practices the dance techniques required in the style, and the choreographies combine elements from different genres in a striking music-video-inspired style.

The classes focus on body control, performance, learning choreographies, and versatility of movement language. The choreographies vary in style and tempo from class to class. The course allows you to develop your own movement language & performance skills.

The course is intended for everyone who wants to dance energetically, learn striking choreographies, and throw themselves into the music – regardless of experience level. In open level courses, the teacher takes dancers of different levels into account, for example by offering different movement options.

Class description

In commercial dance classes, you throw yourself into the world of music videos! Commercial is, as the name suggests, a commercial dance style that fuses different dance genres depending on the music. This energetic and versatile dance style combines influences from street dance, hip hop, jazz, and show dance, among others.

After the warm-up and a short technique section, the classes focus on striking choreographies, expressiveness, and performance. The training develops rhythm, movement language, stage charisma, and physical fitness.

Open level

Open level classes and courses are open to dancers of different levels. Note! Open level is not the same as beginner level. You can participate in open level classes even if you do not have experience in that specific dance style, but you should have experience and skills in another style. In open level classes, the teacher takes dancers of different levels into account, for example by offering different movement options.
